About Bheemla Nayak

Bheemla Nayak is an Indian Telugu-language action thriller film released in 2022. It was directed by Saagar K Chandra from a dialogue by Trivikram Srinivas. Further, it’s an official remake of the 2020 Malayalam film named Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The lead cast of this film is Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati. It was filmed majorly in Hyderabad between January 2021 and February 2022 through temporality stopped by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this film, the music was composed by Thaman S. Further, the camerawork is done by Ravi K. Chandran. Additionally, the editing was done by Naveen Nooli. The movie was released on 25 February 2022 and undid to positive reviews.

An Overview About The Story Line

Danny is an ex-Havaldar and his driver crosses the boundary from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh a night. They found the police at the check post and they were stopped by the police. The police found the liquor beyond the permissible quota, but a drunken Danny is furious that his sleep is disturbed and beats them up. After that, SI Bheemla Nayak reaches and hits Danny clarifying his offense. Danny rejects by saying that his last stop was in Telangana but Nayak arrests him however since Danny has physically gone across the border. Moreover, a constable shames Danny by removing his loin cloth, added worsens his anger.

Next, the police file an FIR after going over his phone contacts. They were stunned by knowing that Danny was the son of a significant politician and was linked to politically potent men. For this reason, Nayak provides the information to CI Kodanda Ram and asks him to treat Danny with admiration. Nayak tries to reunite with Danny but he rejects to shift. Nayak bullies him with a gun and sits with him but Danny then annoys him for a drink. However, Nayak is left with no options and for this, he unlocks a bottle from the seized liquor and serves. Danny is in secret films on his phone. The next day, Danny is taken to court where the judge sentences him to 14 days imprisonment.

In addition, Danny’s lawyer provides him bail. Danny discharges the video to the press that he recorded. Afterwards, Nayak is arrested because of an investigation against him. Danny challenges him in front of the police station. The villagers are loyal supporters of Nayak and try to attack Danny but Nayak stops them by saying the fight is personal.

Production

Sithara Entertainments credited the Telugu remake rights of the 2020 Malayalam Film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, in June 2020. The director of this film is Saagar K Chandra. Also, many actors are approached for the real role such as Ravi Teja, Nandamuri Balakrishna, and Rana Daggubati. The film was officially declared with Pawan Kalyan for the lead role, in October 2020. Daggubati has confirmed the other leas in December. Later, he publicized that he was on board for the project before Kalyan signed in. The film was finally broadcast with a Pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. The movie was unveiled on 15 August 2021.

Release

The movie was released on 25 February 2022. However, earlier it was announced that the film would be released on 12 January 2022, according to the festival of Sankranti. After that, it was postponed to 25 February 2022 after the request of the producer.

In mid-February, the makers confirmed that the movie would be released in theatres on 25 February 2022. The global theatrical rights were sold for 102.5 crores, together with the rights of Telugu states which attached at 85 crores.

Box Office

The movie has earned an amount of 193 crore across the world in its theatrical run. On the opening day, the film earned 52 crores worldwide including 43 core in the domestic territory and US$1 million from abroad. In its opening weekend, the film grossed 110 crores across the world, 70 crores came from India and the rest from abroad.

The digital distribution rights

The digital distribution rights of this movie were picked up by Disney+ Hotstar and aha. Meanwhile, the satellite rights were picked by Star Maa.
